Nicole + Samvel | Punta Cana, Dominican Republic Wedding

Nicole & Sam’s breathtaking beach wedding will be sending everyone out for a destination wedding! The water was SO blue and you can never go wrong with palm trees and bare feet in the sand. Their wedding was calm and beautiful and so elegant that it made me wonder why I didn’t do this myself 15 years ago!

This stunner of a wedding will go down as one of my all time favorites. These two were not only gorgeous and pretty much look like models but they were also some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet! Their entire group of guests were not much different either making it the sweetest time in the Dominican yet. Everywhere you turned was a picturesque spot and the Caribbean atmosphere is the best.

We started the day with photos in the hotel getting ready for both the bride and groom followed by some group pictures of their amazing guests. Guest who came all the way out to the DR to watch them tie the knot and be there to support them. The ceremony was next and was set up on the beach… you guys, it was breathtaking!!! It was so gorgeous that people were stopping and watching the ceremony still in their bathing suits. (Can I tell you how many men in Speedos I had to edit out? Haha! Not what you want to see when you’re looking at wedding photos ;) Even after the wedding people were coming over and taking photos with the set up. And how can you blame them!? I loved Sam’s face when he saw Nicole come down that sandy aisle! Their ceremony was fun and light hearted; full or smiles and laughter from everyone. After their first kiss everyone celebrated with champagne before heading out for photos on the beach and on the hotel grounds. Obviously, this is MY favorite part :) I have to say I was a little overwhelmed because I had so many photos I wanted to do! Kid in the candy store moment for sure! I’m pretty sure I delivered them over 100 photos form this time period alone but I couldn’t resist!! They were all so amazing! A sweet reception dinner was waiting afterwards followed by an amazing party within the palm trees. (Did you ever see a speaker plugged into a palm tree? I have!) They celebrated late into the night and will continue to celebrate their marriage forever! Congratulations to Nicole & Samvel!! Thank you so so much for allowing me to be a part of your big day!

Noah + Harper | New Smryna Beach Engagement

Its no secret that I LOVE the beach. I love the sounds of the water and the birds. I love the instant relaxation you get when your toes hit the sand. I love leaving with that sunkissed skin. Mix an adorable couple in love with the beach and you get dreamy, gorgeous engagement photos like these. I loved hanging out with Harper & Noah for their photos and I am so excited to return to the beach with them this summer for their wedding day!

Luke + Angelica | Harleysville, Pennsylvania

Rain? What rain?! Blah weather had nothing on this wedding day that was full of fun, laughter, tears, joy and of course, love! Every detail was gorgeous and I could not be happier with how beautiful the images turned out and what an amazing pair these two are. I am so lucky to have been a part of their big day and wish them all the best!!!

Jen + Chris | Highland Manor Wedding | Apopka, FL

I loved being a part of this gorgeous wedding day for Chris and Jen at the Highland Manor! They were so full of joy and just so happy together that they made my job super easy! They picked a very pretty coral color for their bridal party and they had the most amazing succulents in their bouquets which I am such a fan of! I loved working with them as well as all of their friends and family who were all just the sweetest and such fun! Wishing you two all the best and congratulations once again!

Megan + Kris | Lake Eola Engagement session | Orlando, FL

Engagement sessions are always some of my favorite kinds! I love meeting a new couple for the first time and getting to know them and how they met. This is exactly why I include free engagement sessions with all of my wedding packages. It is so important that we know each other before arriving on the big day and this is the perfect opportunity to do so. You get to know my photography style and get more comfortable around my big ole camera! I had a blast with these two as we walked through Lake Eola Park... even if it took an extra 20 minutes to walk TO Lake Eola because of the food and wine festival going on that day (oh how my preggo legs hurts after that one! haha) We had a lot of fun and silly moments all caught on camera. We even took a little ride on a the iconic swan boats of Lake Eola and has some fun with the ever popular rose gold Minnie Mouse ears! I am so excited to be  part of their big day this December!!!

JP + Lynn | Daytona FL

I've been to a lot of weddings. LOTS of weddings. You get used to the normal order of events, you know where to be for the best shots and generally you have a good idea of what to expect. I have never been to a wedding quite like this one that was so full of sweet and amazing surprises! From the groom singing his bride down the aisle, to their duet mid-ceremony that was PHENOMENAL, to the real life angel statues and their amazing entrance dance! I have had the privilege of documenting JP & Lynn's story from the ring to the alter and I am so happy to have met them and been able to witness their love for each other! I can't wait to see what God has planned for them next!

JP & Lynn | Engagement | Orlando, FL

JP & Lynn | Engagement | Orlando, FL

I will forever remember JP and Lynn's engagement session for being an overwhelming expression of their natural joy and love for each other. The warm golden sand and open fields were a dream to photograph, but these two would have been stunning even in a barren landscape. Sprinkled with flirty smiles and sweet affection, this session was almost as dreamy as their real life love story.

When asked about their amazing love story they will tell you that it can be summarized as "beauty from ashes." Although born in Brooklyn, New York Lynn first met JP in their first grade classroom in Jacmel, Haiti after moving there with her family.  They exchanged secret smiles from across the classroom, and JP frequently remembers catching Lynn staring at him. It was against culture for Lynn to display feelings toward him but they laugh now at how obvious she was about her interest in that cute little seven year old across the room. Their deep childhood crush was interrupted though as their parents moved them both between countries multiple times.

They lost contact over the years but were reunited again in 2013; almost 18 years later. JP unintentionally stumbled upon photos of Lynn through mutual friends on social media and they quickly rekindled that childhood romance in Orlando, Florida where they both had ended up for college. Neither one of them quite recognized the other at first but they soon remembered those old days in the Caribbean. Back and forth travel between countries, different cities and years of separation could not stop these two from finding each other in this love story that surpasses any romance novel written.

During their years apart from each other they both confess to living lives that were not what they would have wished for themselves. The beauty of their connection is how they lift each other up; iron sharpening iron. JP says that it is this relationship that equipped them to extend sacrificial love, grace, forgiveness and patience towards each other. When they are together they continually help build each other up to be better people, individually and ultimately as a couple; proving that they really are better together.

This charming duo became more and more captivated with each other as time went on and tying them together was their deep heart for God and people.  They also have a mutual love for cooking, singing and fashion. (The dress Lynn is wearing in these engagement photos was a gift JP presented to her for their session. She was unaware of what he chose but trusted his great fashion sense!)

The pair have planned a quaint ceremony with a handful of loved ones to share in their special day. Their celebration will have a truly Caribbean meets Florida feel with traditional Haitian food and a coastal venue. With toes in the sand and family flying in from Haiti these two are finally ready to celebrate turning that childhood crush into true love.

From JP on his wardrobe choices, "Our style choice sought to exemplify elegance and decency, which Lynn and I often refer to as simple and chic. Lynn's elegance has always been and will always be refreshing and attractive to me."

Matthew + Elizabeth | Engaged | Celebration, Florida

These two are the sweetest! I love when posing isn't required because they just cuddle up and smile naturally. I am so excited to capture these two's sweet moments at their wedding day THIS November!
